Is your Playroom safe for babies?

Yes. The Playroom is designed with safety as the top priority. Our products meet and exceed applicable safety standards, including CPSIA and ASTM, and are rigorously tested to help give parents peace of mind.

We also avoid harmful chemicals commonly found in some baby products. Our baby playpen (The Pen) and play mat (The Mat) are made without BPAs, phthalates, lead, cadmium, and other toxins, so little ones can play, crawl, and explore safely.

Beyond certifications, the Playroom includes thoughtful safety features:

Matty’s Room Playroom is a premium playpen and play mat set designed to work together as one complete system. The spacious 5×7 ft baby playpen and foldable play mat create a safe baby play area that fits naturally into your main living space.

While many brands sell budget playpens or separate mats, we focused on building a matching, safety-first baby playpen and non-toxic play mat designed to work seamlessly together. Instead of cutting corners to reduce cost, we prioritized quality materials, safety, and long-term durability, creating a stable and comfortable play space for everyday use.

The result is a “buy once, use for years” playpen and play mat setup designed to support your baby’s milestones—and even a second child.

Can I buy the Pen or the Mat separately?

Yes. While the Playroom is designed as a complete playpen and play mat set, you can absolutely purchase the Pen or the Mat on their own.

Some families start with just the play mat (the Mat) for tummy time and floor play, while others choose the baby playpen (the Pen) to create a safe play area. If you decide later to combine both, they fit together seamlessly to form the full Playroom setup.

If you plan to use the Pen or Mat with products from other brands, please make sure the overall setup remains safe—avoid gaps where little hands, feet, or heads could get stuck, and ensure the surface underneath is firm, stable, and level.

How easy is the Playroom to assemble?

The Playroom can be set up in under 15 minutes, and no tools are required.

The Pen panels connect using a simple interlocking system that snaps together quickly, so you can assemble or adjust the layout in just a few minutes—no screws or complicated steps.

The Mat requires no assembly at all. Just unfold it and place it inside the Pen to complete your Playroom.
