Who is Matty?

Hi, I’m Ellen — a mom of twins who knows just how wonderfully wild parenting can be.

My daughter Matty is the heart behind Matty’s Room. When I looked for a playpen in the U.S., I couldn’t find one that felt safe, stylish, and practical for everyday life. So my co-founder Linda and I built the one we needed.

Today, Matty’s Room is here as your parenting sidekick — helping families create safe, beautiful spaces where little ones can play, explore, and grow.

Matty loves her playpen. It’s where she reads, plays, and makes her own little world.

Our Inspiration

On a trip to Korea, I discovered a world of baby products that amazed me—thoughtful designs that put safety, innovation, and gentleness first. They were clean, beautiful, and worry-free—everything I wanted for my own babies.

When I returned home, I couldn’t find much like them in the U.S. That’s why we started Matty’s Room: to bring those same high standards and joyful designs to families here.
