Matty’s Room Playroom is a spacious 5x7 ft Mat + Pen set, designed to work as a set. While there are other premium mats on the market and plenty of budget pens, the difference is that we took the entire setup to another level: a matching, safety-first, furniture-grade Mat and Pen that work together in your main living space.

Matty’s Room was created by parents who wanted a play space that felt safe, sturdy, and beautiful in the middle of everyday life. We were frustrated by low-quality, questionable-safety options, so we set out to create a Playroom that’s both truly safe and beautiful enough to live in your main space - a setup that feels like part of your home. We chose to prioritize safety, quality materials, and long-term durability instead of cutting corners just to get the price down. That’s how the Playroom was born: a “buy once, use for years” setup, even for a second child.

For added security, our system features a 3-step single-hand locking mechanism—easy for caregivers to operate, yet intentionally engineered to be impossible for little ones to unlock on their own.

Material safety is just as important to us. Our playmats are made with glue-free foam construction to eliminate exposure to harsh adhesives, wrapped in premium vegan leather that’s durable, easy to clean, and gentle on skin. The playpen are made with food-grade HDPE, the same material trusted for food containers, ensuring strength without compromising safety.

Yes! While we designed the Playroom as a complete matching set (Pen + Mat), you can absolutely purchase the Pen or the Mat separately. This is great for families who just want the Pen or the Mat on its own without the full Playroom setup.

If you’re mixing our Pen or Mat with other brands’ products, please make sure the overall setup is safe - no gaps where little limbs or heads could get stuck, a firm and stable surface underneath, and no items that could create suffocation or entrapment risks. Your child’s safety always comes first. 💛

Not at all! The Playroom is quick to set-up. The Pen takes around 10 minutes, requires no tools, and can be assembled by one person. The Mat needs no assembly— simply unfold and place it inside the playpen to complete the Playroom!
